Justine has trained with Sharon Wheeler, Body in Harmony and Restore Therapy.
Scarwork is a method where light touch is used to help ease and soften scar tissue and the surrounding areas.
The aim is to help scar tissue become more supple and less tethered to other structures or layers, in order to help integrate it back into the surrounding tissues as much a possible. This can help reduce the pull on the immediate or surrounding areas, whether deep or superficial, which may also help to reduce discomfort or pain and increase range of movement. For example, treatment for a tight Caesarean section scar may have a positive effect on back pain or other areas that have been impacted by the tension from the scar tissue.
The appearance of the scar may also become smoother and less visible over time. Treatment can begin as soon as the scar is 6-8 weeks old and fully closed. It doesn’t matter how old the scar is, this gentle work can help at any stage, whether after two months or 60+ years old.

"Justine gave me a couple of sessions of scar tissue work on my deep scar and tightness I have from a hip replacement 3 years ago. She has the most amazing knowledge and touch, very healing hands and has helped release deep tension I have held in that area for years. I thoroughly recommend her, thank you Justine"

"I had the great good fortune to meet Justine, who undertook some scar work on my badly scarred foot, from bunion surgery, ankle tendon work and an old scar from a sheet of metal that I had stepped on as a child. With delicacy and concentration she eased out the scars alleviating the pain that I had been having and making the whole foot feel freer and more open, what was more amazing was that it seemed to have a positive effect all the way up my body to my head. I felt incredibly relaxed afterwards and the whole experience was extremely nurturing. Thank you Justine."

"Recently, following having. 2 huge operations in the same site in 6 months, I was left with much pain and scarring around the wound sites and in various parts of my body. Sometimes so debilitating that I ended up in A&E. I had my first session of scar work with her, after the recommended post op healing time, which was magical. I know that the experience will vary person to person and from session to session. So much was released- emotionally and physically. I was pain free for the first time in months which meant I felt my old (better) self. Thank you Justine. I look forward to having another session with you soon!"
