Sarah graduated from Southampton University in 2005 with a physiotherapy honours degree. She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and a practising member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP). Sarah is a fully certified Pilates Instructor under The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. Her pilates training includes pilates for runners and cyclists, both antenatal and postnatal pilates and equipment pilates (reformer & small equipment).
Sarah has specialised within musculoskeletal outpatients since 2008, gaining a vast amount of experience in treating a broad range of conditions. She has gained specialist experience working in the field of orthopaedics, hand therapy and the area of Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD). She has also gained a Certificate in Spinal Manual Therapy and feels confident in the effective treatment of spinal conditions.
Her passion lies in the assessment and treatment of acute conditions with the emphasis on prevention of re-injury. Sarah ensures her treatment is evidence based and uses a range of treatment modalities: Manual therapy, acupuncture, pilates, taping, soft tissue techniques, electrotherapy.
Sarah recently completed her MSc in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Kings College, London, where she developed a specialist interest in the effective management of lower limb conditions in particular, Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome ‘Anterior Knee Pain’.
Her interests include the arts, tennis, swimming, yoga and pilates.
