Alan graduated in Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire with Honours. He is an accredited member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society. He is also a qualified Performance Stability Trainer and Sports Therapist and trained in carrying out ergonomic work station assessments.
Having previously been a member of the Armed Forces and then transitioning into Physiotherapy. Alan was privileged to work at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Headley Court. There he was responsible for rehabilitating injured service personnel back to full fitness. This required a holistic approach incorporating finely developed skills in assessing and treating complex biomechanics, injury, muscle imbalance and gait analysis. During this period he developed a particular interest in the lower limb and goal setting to focus and speed recovery.
This knowledge has also given him the opportunity to work with professional footballers, Rugby squads and Triathletes. Working at this level has equipped Alan well for treating painful conditions, symptoms and injuries, which may be experienced by anyone from any background.
Alan loves the outdoors and has travelled extensively. He is a keen explorer of mountains and the sea.
